Kushagra Rawat achieves the B Cut (and Best Indian Time) in the 400 m freestyle for the Tokyo Olympics

Kushagra Rawat from the SAI Glenmark TIDM Programme in Delhi achieved the B Cut for the Tokyo Olympics as he swum a time of 03:52.75 in the 400 m Freestyle for Men. This is also the best time achieved by an Indian in the event.

Kushagra already achieved the B Cut in the 800 m Freestyle in Bangkok last year.

Swimming at the Olympic Center at Sydney, Kushagra won bronze in the 2020 NSW Open Swimming Championships in the 400 m Freestyle. He clocked 03:55.48 in the heats and 03:52.75 in the finals. He broke the existing best Indian time of 03:54.93 set by Sajan Prakash at Thiruvananatapuram in 2018. It also betters the Olympic B Cut time of 03:53.58.
